LAKEVIEW HOTEL The delightful Lakeview Hotel offers rustic accommodations with modern amenities, a perfect place for the weary traveler to enjoy a simpler way of life. The hotel features numerous beautiful views of Toluca Lake from its many rooms. A small reading room in the hotel contains plenty of literature about this town for the casual observer; history buffs will find a much more extensive history of the town at the Silent Hill Historical Society, located in South Vale on Nathan Ave. Two dining areas include a formal dining area and a casual cafe, but please don't worry about dressing up -- you're here to relax! Close by is Lake Side Amusement Park, the perfect place for the whole family to enjoy rides and games for the kids of all ages.
SOUTH VALE The heart of our quiet little town, where the "locals" will be happy to have you visit and acquaint yourself with our tranquil community. South Vale features many cafes and restaurants serving freshly caught fish from beautiful Toluca Lake.
SILENT HILL HISTORICAL SOCIETY The Silent Hill Historical Society features much literature and history of the beginnings of the town, from images of a darker, long past era, when ancient rites held sway, to a brighter heritage, which comprises Silent Hill as it stands today. For the curious, plenty of stories of the supernatural that were once said to be a part of this area can be found. Be warned, some of this material is not for the faint of heart!
ROSEWATER PARK Rosewater Park is the result of community and careful nurturing, a natural enclosure for enjoying the lake view while surrounded by nature. There are many quiet coves and look-out spots for love-birds of all ages, perfect for enjoying some quality time. The maze-like atmosphere also gives it a decidedly Victorian feel, transporting visitors to another time and place.
BLUE CREEK APARTMENTS In South Vale, you will see Blue Creek apartments where many of our guests here at Silent Hill have taken up seasonal and permanent residence. If you are lucky, you may see some local celebrities walking down our sunny streets. Please be sure to stop by and look at an apartment, if Silent Hill appeals for a longer term stay.
BROOK HAVEN HOSPITAL Brook Haven Hospital offers first class care, just in case you happen to get into trouble here, with an old fashioned touch. The relaxing atmosphere and quiet surroundings make for a great place to recover from ailments of all sorts. Long term care is offered for loved ones having trouble fitting into regular society.

Silent Hill 2 features customizable gameplay; before embarking on a new adventure players can adjust the difficulty of both the action and the puzzle sequences. Please note: Game scenarios and endings remain unchanged, regardless of what difficulty levels are selected.
ACTION LEVEL SETTINGS HARD: Monsters are very strong and fast
NORMAL: Standard difficulty
EASY: Weak monsters and simplified controls
BEGINNER: Enjoy the storyline, drama and puzzles of Silent Hill 2 without fighting.
RIDDLE LEVEL SETTINGS HARD: Riddles are complex

Silent Hill 2 incorporates "S-FORCE," a new state-of-the-art 3D sound technology developed at Sony Electronics. This technology emulates a fully 3D surround sound environment through standard two channel audio output. No special equipment is required to enjoy this technology during game play.
